These courses and coaching services are specifically aimed at internal organisational practitioners – to support their personal and professional development, and to help them to stay up to date with key developments in the fields of leadership, change, learning and development. Most large organisations realise that to remain competitive they need to build a strong internal capability for developing their leaders, managing complex change and creating a learning organisation. These services are designed to support you in building and improving that internal capability. The developmental framework that runs through the courses addresses five main levels;
These services have been developed by Aubyn Howard, who specialises in supporting the development of organisational practitioners. This document provides an overview of the courses and explains the underlying approach. More detailed information is available on each course, and they can all be tailored to meet the specific needs of a client. Some are also run once a year as open courses at Aubyn and Diana Howard’s Professional Development Centre in the south of France. Key issues and needs these services address
Key benefits of our approach Stay up to date with the latest ideas, approaches and models within your field of expertise, whether in leadership, change or learning and development, by using a combination of tailored courses and coaching programmes that work for you Develop the developers – without them needing to attend lengthy, expensive and time consuming external courses and programmes Learn about key approaches and models (including Spiral Dynamics, Leadership Development Framework, NLP, Gestalt, Psychosynthesis, TA, Appreciative Inquiry, Open Space, Dialogue and Strategy Mapping), and how to apply them within your work, without needing to attend full practitioner or certification training. Identify the gaps and biases within your current approach Take time out to review and critically reflect both on your development as individuals and on your collective development and the approaches you favour as a department or organisation. Why use us? Low organisational overheads means that we can provide much better value than business and management schools, and unlike some large training organisations, you will always be working with the best people we have As independent consultants we are all still practising in the field and learning from a variety of organisational client assignments in different sectors Aubyn Howard specialises in taking new theories and approaches and making them relevant, understandable and useful to those in the field of practice. He provides a bridge between the world of academics or theoreticians and practitioners in the business world. He has a particular interest in taking new ideas from the different branches of psychology (including humanistic, transpersonal, developmental and behavioural psychologies) and adapting and applying them within an organisational context Aubyn has recently completed a four year psychotherapy training and applied his learning from this to create a new approach to coaching and developing organisational professionals Aubyn has a network of more than twenty experienced colleagues working as independent consultants with a wide expanse of expertise that he draws upon for support and co-facilitation on the courses and also as specialist coaches on the coaching programmes. Challenging questions Are you challenging and supporting your best people to develop their thinking and practice? Are you giving them the personal and professional development they need to stay the best? What are you doing to explore the leading edge of new ideas in your field of expertise? How do you pull together and make sense of all the developments taking place? How often do you review the approaches and models you draw upon and make sure that your collective tool kit is as good as it should be? Could you get better value development courses and programmes than you do from the business and management schools? Do you provide facilities for practitioners to unpack, review and reflect on what they are doing with their clients? Are you giving your leaders and managers what they need to lead their people most effectively?
